Slate

  Slate is a free daily online magazine that offers analysis and commentary about politics, news, and culture. Founded in 1996 by Michael Kinsley, Slate was one of the earliest web-based general interest publications. Originally owned by Microsoft, Slate is now under the auspices of the Washington Post Company. In addition to articles on an eclectic range of topics, Slate features several regular columns, podcasts, video content, and online forums.
