How do I verify my Scribnia account?
To ensure that all Scribnia users are real reviewers, we send a confirmation email to each new user. Please follow the instructions included in the email to verify your account. If you have missplaced your confirmation number, please sign in at our login page and we will help you complete your registration.
How do I change my email address?
To change the email address associated with your account at Scribnia, we ask you to login first.

How can I add an author?
Adding an author is a quick and simple process that can be completed at the add an author page.
What kind of authors can I add to Scribnia?
You can add any type of author to Scrinia as long as they satisfy the following criteria:
* The author must be published online
* The author must be associated with a publication
A publication can range from a website or a blog to the New York Times. We draw this distinction because Scribnia is not the place to rate novelists and playwrights. Authors who exclusively publish books do not write for a publication and are not appropriate for Scribnia.
If you are not sure whether an author fits the above criteria, we suggest that you submit the author anyway. Our team approves all authors so let us investigate whether an author is appropriate.
Why is the author I added not showing up on Scribnia?
The Scribnia team approves every author to ensure their validity. Most authors are approved within 24 hours.
I am unsure about what category to place an author
Don't worry, take your best shot at categorizing an author or a publication. Our team approves all authors and we will verify that you have placed him or her in the proper category.
How can I add a publication?
To add a publication, first choose an author within that publication that you would like to add to Scribnia. Enter both the new author and the new publication here at the create an author page.
An author writes for multiple publications, which should I enter?
Some authors may have multiple blogs or may be syndicated by multiple publications. When adding an author, please enter the publication that has the best selection of the author's work. Be sure to then list other publications the author writes for in the author description.
Reviews and ratings
How do I rate authors?
The first step is to create an account. Then click on an author to rate him or her.
What makes up a good Scribnia review?
At Scribnia, we welcome both positive and negative reviews of authors. However, following a few guidelines will prevent your review from being flagged.
* No profanity: Any review that contains inappropriate language will be immediately removed.
* No personal attacks: Please remember that this is a site to review an author and his or her work, not to make inflammatory remarks about the author as a person.
A review on Scribnia is inappropriate, what should I do?
If you see an inappropriate review, feel free to flag it. Our moderator will examine the review to see if it upholds the guidelines of a good Scribnia review. If it is deemed inappropriate, our team will delete the review.
How is author rank calculated?
We use a proprietary algorithm to determine an author's rank within his/her subcategory. The algorithm takes into account factors like the number of ratings, average rating, date of ratings, and standard deviation of ratings. Although the algorithm can't be reduced to a single factor, the single most important criteria is the number of reviews an author has. So encourage your readers to review your writing and watch your rank rise!

What makes up a good Scribnia description?
Scribnia serves as a repository of factual information about online authors and publications. When entering a description, please make sure that the information you include is relevant, objective, and accurate.
Where can I find information about authors?
Author and publications information is often available in the about me section of an author's blog or on their website.
How can I correct inaccurate descriptions?
You can fix inaccurate publication and author description by editing the current description and submitting it to Scribnia where it will be approved.
Why is the publication/author photo I entered not displaying?
All author and publication photos are approved by the team at Scribnia. If an author currently has a picture, our team needs to approve the new photo in order to change it.
