August 25, 2011

Amy Henderson writes for Front Stretch. Amy came to
Frontstretch in 2004 as a staff writer. She became an
assistant editor in 2007, and she now leads the round
table discussion in Mirror Driving every week as well
as editing and writing her column, Holding A Pretty
Wheel, which made its debut in 2007. In addition, she
is the lead writer for Kenny Wallace’s official
Website. Amy Henderson became a NASCAR junkie in 1997
when she got dragged to her first race of any kind, a
Winston Cup race at New Hampshire International
Speedway, because there was an extra ticket. She was
hooked for life when she first heard the motors. The
sound when the cars take the green flag is still her
favorite part of any race she goes to.

The Big Picture continues to entrance us several times
a week. Alan Taylor picks a topic in the news and
displays several high resolution photographs from
various news sources that depict it better than any
long winded essay. From the fascinating recent flood in
Venice, to wonders from the Hubble Space Telescope, to
the horrors of the Mumbai attack, California wildfires,
and the devastation in Haiti. You'll get an eyeful of
the news.

She’s a true travel lover, who wishes she had more of
the world

July 28, 2011

Jennifer writes for The Vacation Gals blog. Gal
Jennifer Miner is surprised to find herself living in
Southern California, after spending most of her years
on the East Coast. She’s a true travel lover, who
wishes she had more time to see distant parts of the
world. At this point, however, SeaWorld and Disneyland
seem to make for easier family travel.
"SoCalGal" strives to raise her two daughters
in such a way that they appreciate the natural wonders
of the world as much as the amenities of a luxury
resort. So far, the upscale accommodations are winning.
