About Me:I believe this is the only blog listed in Scribnia that deals with Parkinsons disease

Diagnosed with PD in 2000 Deep Brain Stimulation surgery in 2007 I am a 55 year old Federal Employee who works from home because my walking and balance have gone to hell Still I attempt to attack this disease mostly by laughing at it I hope I can bring a smile to your face as well

My book Deep Brain Diary My Life as a Guy with Parkinsons Disease and Brain Surgery Volunteer is available on my website with all proceeds going to fund PD research

And for some reason when you update your profile it allows only letters and numbers and no punctuation whatsoever

Take her advice at your own risk.

March 17, 2010

While I'm not saying there is no place in medicine for
alternative and complementary medicine, people like
this blogger who promise "release" from such
diseases as cancer and Parkinson's disease strike me as
dangerous hacks. Too often, those of us with
Parkinson's disease fall victim because of a sense of
hopelessness and we're easy prey for snake oil salesmen
who promise cures by revealing secrets "doctors
won't tell you." By all means, read this blog.
But before you make ANY decision about ANY modification
of your treatment -- TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR FIRST!

Matt and I got HACKED the SAME DAY!!!

January 22, 2010

He writes very well of the feeling one gets when
logging onto ones blog and finding that it no longer
exists. He is also a voice for the addictive nature of
blogging and he has some great ideas for interesting
content. As someone who also uses the Thesis theme
(from time to time -- I change themes a lot cuz I bore
easily), his blog is attractive and easy to follow.

The Doctor is IN!

January 22, 2010

As a person with a chronic medical condition, I'm
always looking for reliable sources on the Internet.
Unfortunately, they are few and far between and of
dubious reliability. Dr. Pho is an Internal Medicine
specialist who comes across like a real person -- not a
Medical Demigod from on high who makes pronouncements.
He dishes on his profession, publishes comments from
colleagues and provides an informative blog for folks
who are interested in the internal workings of the
practice of medicine.

An "Everyman" in Canada

January 18, 2010

Reading Mr. Green's thoughtful deliberations about
choosing a domain name made me smile. Would that we
Americans give as much thought to our political
candidates as Jordan did in picking his brand name.
Written in a folksy style, Jordan's Daily (almost) is a
good read!

Inspiration!

January 14, 2010

A cancer survivor with an inspiring blog about the
challenge of living with a life-threatening disease. I
would prefer she change the colors of her blog to
something a little less -- pink. But I understand the
connotation and wish her success and health.

She Writes About Illness, But Doesn't Whine About It

January 14, 2010

This is the blog of a woman with a variety of health
problems. Yet, she uses her illness as a muse and pens
an interesting, if somewhat long-winded, blog about her
day-to-day life.

Again, why is this blog in "illness"?

January 14, 2010

After a break of nearly 3 years, Peter entertains us
with an entry on Jan. 10, 2010. A bit on the
longwinded side, of little or no interest to anyone who
doesn't watch British TV, I'm still at a loss as to
what this blog is ABOUT!

Grand Total of 5 Entries

Most recent entry, Oct. 2009. She says she tried the
"cleanse." I hope she's OK.

No entries since September '08?

One can only hope the author is no longer frustrated,
or sick.

No entries since March?

January 14, 2010

This guy kinda strikes me as someone who started a blog
when he thought he had a life-threatening condition and
when he learned it was a benign growth, he sorta lost
interest in the project. It would be interesting to
read how he's been doing since his last report in Jan.
'09 that the growth was unchanged. But...
