Hilarious writing! Really enjoyed reading the blog and
will definitely pass it on! The name caught my
attention initially and then the conversational writing
style really sucked me in. Very funny posts from a

Hah! I'm sitting here at work, where I should be, you
know, WORKING, but I'm sitting here with a big smile on
my face after having read several of your posts. We
are VERY similar in our stories, our focus, the
Jewish-thing, weight, dead mothers, etc.

As a "new starter " in the blog game I've
been looking for blogs that are a similar style to the
one Im creating and I think this is a great example.
Although it has a female feel to it, Melissas self
analysis is a lovely thing to read

Let's just say that Rock and Drool is an atypical
"mommy blog" that has long been one of my regular
reads. Melissa writes openly about her daily life and
sexuality as a mother, stepmother and wife with a
combination of light and serious touch that is both
refreshing and entertaining.

Great stories and fun blog!

Being a parent of a teenager and a 5 year-old, I was
able to really connect with a lot of Melissa's posts.
She has a great story telling style which breathes life
into each post. I loved the story about the frog and
the turtles!

A mommy who talks about sex.

I adore Melissa. On her blog, she shares details of
parenting a blended family along with frank talk about
sex, drugs, and rock and roll. (Okay, not really drugs,
at least not that I have read). Okay, mostly sex and
parenting. She's one of the most likeable people I've
"met" and has an excellent sense of humor.
