A very nice blog!
I would like to comment on the article called "8
Thing Your Excuses Are Really Saying".
I personally like fitness and I do think people
should work out, however, it's always easy to blame
people for looking for excuses. It's true all the
things they say are excuses, but my personal experience
is that it is incredibly difficult to find the right
balance between exercising or not exercising or what
the right amount of exercise is.
At one point in my life I did running and exercising
7 days a week for approximately an hour each time. I
felt firm and happy with my body, but I knew it was not
sustainable, because I was always totally shattered.
Looking good and being happy with my body shape was the
focus of my life. Can we afford it?
Obviously, this was an extreme example, but even when
I was exercising 4 times a week I was still always
tired!
The point is that it is an important compromise to
make: is fitness my priority or having enough energy
take my kids out, or to work on my business, or to
spend time with my partner more important, or maybe
relaxing and winding down after a day's work is more
important....
Maybe not everyone feels as tired as I do after
exercise, but I am sure everyone's excuse is based on
some compromise, therefore, when they say "I'm
lazy", what they really are saying is that
probably they have given priority to something else and
they don't want to discuss further.
There are people who are actually lazy, overweight
and fitness should become their priority, however,
these people will definitely not be moved by the
article, because they will feel blamed. The person who
is giving advise is obviously someone who loves
exercising, so is not sympathetic to their lack of
motivation...
I am giving you a rating of 7 because of the blaming
tone of this article. I don't think it's motivational,
otherwise, the blog is very nice. Well done! Keep it
up!
