Hmmm. I really wanted to give this a 10. When I saw the
site I was set. The photos are Amazing!
The recipes are somewhat persnickety. That usually
doesn't bother me too much, but some of them were over
the top for me.
Then, I wanted to comment on the lobster potato
salad, but there were comment guidelines and by the
time I read through all of them I had both forgotten
what I wanted to say, and I was completely turned off.
I do, however, believe there are some fantastic
recipes on this site, so I will be going back again,
and check it out further.

What a delightfully odd cooking blog, odd more so for
an often lack of recipe detail. This takes cooking to
an almost metaphysical level, conceptual recipies,
introduced in the most charmingly random life moments.
Not always so useful for cooking, but charming
nonetheless, and a fine source of kitchen based
inspiration.

I absolutely "love" Smitten Kitchen. The
recipes are easy to follow and I don't think I've ever
created anything from SK that hasn't turned out
amazing. Thank you Deb for your inspiration!

she must have cravings for this southerners food or
even Mediterranean but the taste bud of many is not
satiated due to lack of recipe. Please include recipe
so others may salivate with their own makings.

In the blog Smitten Kitchen, Deb Perelman not only
gives evidence she is an incredible freelance
photographer, but how well she can combine her talent
with food.
The photographs of the ingredients and the final dish
are so extraordinary that I'm sure you'll spend some
minutes just looking at them before you start the
reading.
Her posts, a mixture of personal feelings, tips and
recipes delight the visitors. I really enjoyed those
posted just before her baby was born.

Deb Perelman is the author of Smitten Kitchen and
exercises, as she says on her site, “Fearless cooking
from a tiny kitchen in New York City.” The site is
simple and attractive, well-written and very easy to
navigate. Deb posts a few times a week with photos or
tutorials on how to make certain delicious looking
dishes and desserts. Although she talks some about
daily life, most of it revolves around food, remaining
true to the purpose of the site. There is also an
excellent catalogue of recipes available.
