Little Black Kitty is a fun and creative blog by
artisan Debra Cooper. She writes about her experiences
as a homeschooling mother, designer and mixed-media
artist.

I enjoyed that her posts weren’t excessively long.
They all had helpful input, a craft idea along with her
progress, or showcased her personality in a simple way.
Debra mixes up her posts with a little about sewing
designs, gardening, and her journey with homeschooling
as well as the projects she is doing with pictures to
accompany them.

Cultivating Inspiration

Inspiration and motivation is the goal of Debra
Cooper’s blog. Cooper is a designer, mixed media
artist and home school mom located in Texas whose blog
tagline is "a little imagination and a pile of junk".
Besides sharing her latest creative endeavors, which
include sewing and yarn projects, she talks about
gardening and trying new ways to express her
creativity. What I enjoyed most about her blog is that
she also talks openly about the frustrations and
challenges that she faces as an artist, especially the
ones where she feels like she “should” be doing
something else like ironing or cleaning instead of
creating. Features pictures of her latest projects and
some instructions about how you can recreate her
projects at home.
