Totally For Dudes

May 10, 2009

Greg Allen’s Daddytypes is a male-centric parenting
guide that I would recommend to any new father. Some
of his articles are way outside my sphere of interest,
but I can appreciate his excitement about the
Mazdaspeed 5 Boss Wagon, limited edition Luigi Colani
action figure, and the ins and outs of furniture
construction. He’s a dude and a dad, so it makes
perfect sense. I am on board with his stories about
toys (he finds some of the coolest wooden toys!), Hans
Christian Anderson’s intricate and breathtaking paper
cut-outs, socially charged coloring books for kids, and
the baby name analysis. Writing with knowledge and
charm, he articulates just how much he likes being a
father.
