The premise of the blog is good and some of the
articles are great. But all too often they seem a bit
too vague and the conclusions drawn aren't backed up
with enough science for my liking. Still, make a good
read.

Being less of a 'sports' person I still enjoy this blog
a lot. It's well written, informative, and smart takes
on current sports ex. Wrapping up NBA playoffs 1&2. I
really related to some of the older posts because Joe's
ideas, though very valuable to athletes can also apply
to non athletes as well. "creating good habits" being
one of my favorites.
Joe's AmpedSports blog writing style is solid and
flows very well. He comes across as an educated person
who knows what he's talking about.
I would highly recommend this blog to anybody who's
an athlete and also anybody who enjoys a smart, well
written, entertaining blog.

While Joe's AmpedSports blog takes on issues and topics
that don't stray too far from what you find in other
corners of the blogosphere (Big Papi's slump, Manny
being Manny, the pressure of performing in large media
markets, etc.), his approach, analysis, and the
resulting insight are what sets him apart.
The articles vary from simple psychological fixes to
common problems, tips for improving performance, and a
scientific, objective analysis of things we're all
interested in (like why in the world can't David Ortiz
hit a baseball to save his life?).
While the entertainment value of some articles is
certainly higher than others, the mix provides a little
bit of something for everyone, which is a welcome
deviation from the sports-blog norm.

Joseph's writing is more scientifically focused than
other sport blogs. It is professional and provides his
viewpoint on many different issues in sports in
general.
Some articles are a little dry because they are about
skill building which might be interesting for athletes.
