Living Vicariously Thorugh This Blog

May 24, 2009

This is such a cool blog! If you have ever wondered
what it would be like to really chuck it all and move
to France and live your dream of creating healthy,
seasonal meals and drinking wine, this blog can be the
way to live that dream vicariously . The recipes are
all pretty healthy and are easy enough to follow,
although I do feel like they are geared toward people
who have a kitchen with lots of cool gadgets and copper
cookware from Williams-Sonoma. I love that she features
bits about life too and that there are lots of
pictures.

Unique Quisine in France

May 08, 2009

At her blog, Thyme of Cooking, Katie writes primarily
about food and life in France. With a bit of humor and
definite ease in writing, Katie relays her experiences
with the French, with her home and husband and most of
all, with food.

The blog provides recipes for many dishes and Katie
is not stingy with her vegetables. A good deal of the
dishes seem more sophisticated than the average family
might prepare, however the recipes were simple to
follow and looked very appetizing.

Healthy and delicious food doesn't come easy

April 10, 2009

The best part of Katie's blog is that she is health
conscious about the foods she cooks with. It seems to
me, though, that the target audience is more on the
experienced side. There are many detailed directions,
which are great for someone who knows what they're
doing and has all the gadgets and tools to do so. As
for myself, I need something simple and easy to do.
The foods chosen for the recipes also seem to be a bit
on the expensive side.
However, the pictures add great detail to the dish
and look very scrumptious.
