Stuart Foster

Mashable, The Lost Jacket

#18 in Marketing and Media

Description:   Stuart Foster has never known a world without computers. Addicted to Bolt, Facebook, and other Social Media since their inception, he has taken this enthusiasm for new media and decided to start a blog about his marketing efforts within those realms. He also enjoys talking in the third person, Boston sports, running (slowly), and has a tendency to lose jackets.

The Real Deal

April 14, 2010

Stuart is brutally honest and unswervingly real.

Sometimes, both of those things get him in trouble.
Probably costs him some business as well.

Their loss. If you want a fresh, honest perspective
on what is happening in marketing and PR, look no
further.

Beyond Maverick!

July 16, 2009

While I really respect Stuart, sometimes I wonder if
his brutal honesty will get him in trouble... Bah!
Probably not if he stays away from corporations. ;-)

Stuart is another young professional that I truly
admire! I know it sounds totally like age
discrimination, but I mean it respectfully. Stuart has
a top-rated blog and writes for Mashable...that is no
small feat and deserves admiration. Stuart's
perspectives are always eye-opening, to say the least.

Original. Smart. Real. Stuart has it all.

June 26, 2009

Stuart is a diamond in the rough of the marketing
blogging genre. His fresh perspective inspires thought
and generates discussion. In short, he get's people
thinking in new and innovative ways and encourages
healthy debate and discussion.

Stuart showcases an outstanding mix of witty diatribe
and savvy marketing know-how in his writing. The Lost
Jacket has recently become a personal favorite and is
always on my must-read list.

Perfect social media fodder for any time of the day.

June 25, 2009

Stuart's one of these bloggers that are very hard to
find. He writes passionately and knowledgeably and is
without doubt a social media geek. BUT...

He does it with such a quirky voice and one that you
just know is making you rethink your views that you'll
never get bored with his stuff. And that's great news
for everyone.

* A Mover & A Shaker *

June 23, 2009

Regardless where you may stand on any given issue,
Stuart gives you one helluva ride. His writing style
is direct and sometimes a little brash; but, he's fair.
Stuart is very smart on a variety of topics - so, even
if you may not agree with him in the ned, you'll walk
away with a great appreciation for you may consider to
be 'the other side.'

You'll never wonder about his POV

June 20, 2009

I love reading Stuart's posts for two reasons. First,
you always know where he stands on an issue. He'll tell
you how he feels without real concern for your
feelings. That honesty is something that many in the
social media circles could stand to learn from. Second,
he clearly knows his subject matter. If the brash
opinions were followed by a lack of evidence we'd all
dismiss them as ridiculous. Given Stuart's standing
within the broader social community, i'd say that is
definitely not the case.
