True State Of Castro Idea of Communism

November 12, 2009

well I first read about Yoani when Reader's Digest
featured her story and blog and I became curious about
her and the real score in Cuba but it came to shed
light and feel a lighter tone of Cuba when Cuba joined
Miss Earth few years back. Cuba is represented this
year by the stunning Jamilette Gaxiola for Miss Earth
2009 in Boracay, Aklan and is one of the heavy favorite
to win the crown shows the wider acceptance of Cuba in
a free and democratic world and is opening up and is
slowly being removed from ostracism. I love her blog o
tell us how Cuba is faring in today's world!

Cuba from the inside

October 13, 2009

Through her blog, Yoani Sanchez gives everybody the
opportunity to discover Cuba far beyond anything that
travelguides will ever show you.

Her posts, translated to many languages by volunteers
all around the world, uncover the awful truth of the
inhabitants on the island.

A life in Cuba

A good read for those whose interest lie beyond their
own borders, and past their own struggles.

Yoani Sanchez bravely documents the changing country of
Cuba

April 28, 2009

Yoani Sánchez, a webmaster and editor from Havana,
Cuba, launched her blog Generacion Y in order to be
able to say things that she is afraid to say out loud
in her country. Yoani has a graduate degree in
philology and combines her passion for information
science with her work on the Portal Desde Cuba. Her
blog delivers daily dispatches that document the
prevailing sense of fear and discontent in her country:
younger Cubans eager for change, older Cubans dreading
the unknown that will follow Castro's reign. Yoani
makes the blog her own with amazing photos that capture
her courageous compatriots.
