My PR Jesus

July 22, 2009

Arik pretty much arrived on my Google Reader from
nowhere and has been a permanent fixture ever since.

His knowledge of PR is superb, across all levels.
He'll blog about corporate PR, how SME's can use PR and
health PR (of which he has an immense amount of
experience).

Throw in some social media smarts and Arik's a
definite must-read.

Big Noise, Big Heart

July 22, 2009

I love Narciso! Not in the "Hey, let's have a baby!"
club - though if I were a girl, who knows? ;-)

No, I love his blog for the very fact that it's one
of the most human reads of my day. The tagline reads
"Communications with Passion and Purpose" and that's
Narciso to a tee.

Everything he writes is filled with both passion and
purpose, and a healthy dose of knowledge as well. You
want to know about PR from a people angle? Narciso's
your guy.

He's also one of the friendliest dudes on Twitter as
well. Like I said before... I love Narciso! :)

Shoots from the hip but never without reason.

June 26, 2009

Jac Star is a personal blogger in the truest sense of
the word - opinionated, feisty, honest, funny and never
afraid to tackle any topic.

She makes you laugh, scratch your head, roll your
eyes and nod sagely more often than not. She also takes
hard knocks from some of her commenters because of her
approach - but keeps coming back for more.

If you want a light read that can also be a deep
discussion, check out Jac Star for yourself.

(PS - slight bias as she's my wife but makes no
difference - my review would have been the same).

Puts the thought in thought-provoking

June 26, 2009

I think I came across David's blog through a
recommendation of someone whose tips I always take on
board. This is another great example.

David loves his industry. He loves the people in it
and what it can do. But he's no romantic - he knows
there's a lot of crap PR as well and he's not afraid to
discuss that and call it out on his blog.

Yet he's also got a huge heart for the small yet
uplifting stories - his post about the returning
soldier and his surprise reunion with his little girl
at her school was incredible.

This guy should be on everyone's radar that's even
remotely interested in PR, communications and simply
good old-fashioned reading.

Cleaner and sharper than the best detergent

June 26, 2009

I've read Sonny's blog for the last few months now, and
I never come away disappointed. He's got a flair for
both traditional views and thinking outside the box.

He questions popular thinking and isn't afraid to
share his views, no matter how opinionated they might
sometimes be.

You may not always agree with him (and he might not
agree with you in return!) but you can't help but
respect his honesty and willingness to open the
conversation. Great stuff.

Keeping the numbers in PR and communications real.

June 25, 2009

There are a ton of blogs that talk about social media,
PR, marketing and more. Some great, some good, some...
well, not so good.

Few blogs really dig into the numbers and stats
behind the front, though- in this respect, Chuck's is a
welcome addition. If you want to know how the NBA
compares to PR, or how ROI can be measured, check out
Chuck and you might just come away more educated.

Perfect social media fodder for any time of the day.

June 25, 2009

Stuart's one of these bloggers that are very hard to
find. He writes passionately and knowledgeably and is
without doubt a social media geek. BUT...

He does it with such a quirky voice and one that you
just know is making you rethink your views that you'll
never get bored with his stuff. And that's great news
for everyone.

Inside the mind of brilliant PR.

June 17, 2009

What can you say about Dave's blog without sounding
like a gushing groupie?

The guy is PR through and through, both traditional
and digital. And it shows.

He tackles the big topics (Kawasaki ghost-tweeting)
and the smaller topics. He offers pros and cons to
current thinking, and always with a keen and analytical
eye.

He makes you realize that while you may be a good PR
pro, he's one of the few genuinely excellent ones.
Consistently great read.

Great PR thoughts wrapped up in a cool pink glow

June 17, 2009

Sasha has sprung out of nowhere and established herself
as a blogger with some great thoughts for the PR
industry.

She backs a lot of her thoughts up with solid
information and resources, and covers the spectrum of
traditional and social media PR.

She may be a relatively new voice in the PR blogging
world, but she's already making a name for herself.
Just ask her peers, who nominated her in the Best
Up-and-Coming PR Blog category in the recent PR
Reader's Choice Blog Awards.

One to watch.

Always challenging, always worthwhile.

June 17, 2009

While I may not always agree with Beth's viewpoints
(though it'd be boring if everyone saw eye-to-eye
anyway) I'll always respect her approach.

She's not afraid to take a stance on a topic that's
close to her heart and this can lead to some lively
exchanges in the comments section. Yet if conversation
and reaction is a gauge of a successful blog, then
Beth's is one of the most successful around.
